Rule of thirds
Rule of thirds is used
in video and film production. It is used in the way that the frame is divided into into nine imaginary sections, as shown in the image to the right. This is used to create reference points which acts as guide lines for the framing. This helps to conduct a good music videos as it keeps the viewers interest because of the positioning of the character alters throughout the shots. When filming you should try and keep the point of interest at 1/3 or 2/3 of the way across the frame, rather than in the center.
